Gather Women Has A Special New Partnership with JustOne

Since Gather Women launched, we have held the value of collaboration in high regard.  We are excited to announce our partnership with JustOne, a fair trade company that offers fashion handcrafted by Africa artists working to overcome poverty.

This partnership speaks to Gather’s core value of Abundance.  The marriage of those of us who have more than enough resources, investing in the lives of our African friends who have more than enough creativity and skill, is indeed a beautiful thing.

We are privileged to share a space with JustOne in which we can tell the stories of women who are remarkably bold and offer their craftsmanship in a way that inspires us and honours the artists.

Krista Jefferson, Founder and CEO of JustOne, is equally excited about her company’s partnership with Gather Women.

The goal of JustOne is twofold:  first, to support the people of Africa financially by selling their gorgeous creations here at home. And secondly, to raise awareness of their needs. Each item is packaged with information about the people who made it – many of them former child soldiers.

JustOne is a Canadian social enterprise that started in 2012. It markets handmade fashion accessories of African artisans, allowing them to earn an honest, fair wage and overcome poverty. Items can be purchased online, in stores across Canada and will be available at Gather BC, Gather Alberta and wherever we gather coast to coast.
