What is TRUE?

What is True Today?

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me – practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”

Philippians 4:8-9

In this season, when so many things around the world are unknown, we are looking around for the few things that are left in our control. At Gather Women, we have been dreaming and planning big things for the women in our nation. We believe God is good and He’s on our side and that this interruption is just a moment of time where we are choosing to pivot our focus and rest in His hope and peace. God is on the throne; He is in control and He has a GOOD plan for us. With daunting daily news inundating us on every platform, it’s so easy to be thrown off and feel anxious but let’s remember what is TRUE. God knew this day was coming and He knew the hands and feet of the church would rise. He knew people across the globe would come together and shift the Kingdom for His glory. People would be forced to slow down and take a moment, a breath, and reflect. They would reach out to their neighbours, their families, and friends. They would come back to the table and Gather in circles, looking their most valued gifts of family in the face and remember how blessed they were with the souls sitting across from them. The creative would flourish, the entrepreneur would envision and reach out with equipping materials to encourage us. We would pick up the ancient text God gave us, and walk closer with Him, remembering that He is the anchor of our souls and we can rest in this season.

“ Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”.

Philippians 4:6-7
