Motivation Monday – Why The World Needs Women Leaders

We are part of accomplishing His commission, with an intentional, female approach to seeing a thriving and sustainable world, locally, nationally and globally.

It is 2021 and still the question of whether women can lead is not settled. For most, it has been settled outside the evangelical church, but inside the intangible boundaries of church life, there is a glass ceiling for women that has also become he elephant in the room.

We think we have freedom in Christ as equal image-bearers, but the reality is often not reflected in the affirmation of the unique, refreshing and restorative gifts women bring to the table.

Maybe it is time to affirm the value of female leadership as crucial to turning the upside down world back upright. We have been gifted by God with unique psychological strengths that are invaluable even in and especially in, times of crisis like the one we are in right now.

  • In situations where conflict that leads to isolation thrives, women nurture.

  • In situations where we are disconnected, women connect and build bridges.

  • In situations where we are grieving, women comfort and empathy.

  • In situations where there is an impoverished one, few or many, women advocate..

  • In situations where the future seems hopeless, women raise the next generation of world-changers.

  • In situations where sin is all around and is looking for ways to tear families apart, women defuse the destructive forces.

IN A CHAOTIC WORLD OF DISPLACED IDENTITY, SECURITY AND ASSURANCE, CALM AND COMFORT COMES DOWN AND GOES OUT LIKE A WELCOME BALM FROM THE HEART OF GOD THROUGH FEMALE HANDS.

God said women are leaders. Eve was ezer kenego, an ‘equal match’ to Adam, co-commissioned to populate and rule the earth.

WE ARE PART OF ACCOMPLISHING HIS COMMISSION, WITH AN INTENTIONAL, FEMALE APPROACH TO SEEING A THRIVING AND SUSTAINABLE WORLD, LOCALLY, NATIONALLY AND GLOBALLY.

God included the leadership stories of Jochabed, Miriam, Deborah, Esther, Lydia and so many more in His word, so we would know that they were intrinsically crucial to the unfolding of His greater story for His people.

In the April 12, 2021, online edition of Crosswalk.com magazine, Julie Sanders wrote:

“The world gasps for the good brought by godly women engaged in nurturing leadership. According to author Haley Gray Scott in her work Dare Mighty Things, “One in three women throughout the world—a total of one billion—will be raped or beaten at some point in their lives. The proportion of women exposed to physical violence in their lifetimes ranges from 12 percent in China to 59 percent in Zambia.” The world longs to be tended by the nurturing nature of more women leaders.”

Wherever you are positioned right now…in your home, in your career, in your church, in your ministry, on your sickbed, your influence matters. Proportionately, women have been the ones exposed to the horrors of the world, and proportionately are also the ones who can best offer solutions to the restoration of a world without unnecessary evil.

YOUR COMPASSION, EMPATHY AND PRAYERS FOR A HURTING AND CONFUSED WORLD ARE THE WOMB FROM WHICH GENERATIONS CAN BE CRADLED AND GENERATIONS CAN BE RAISED.

Wherever you lead, God pours out the nurturing the hurting world waits for.

THE WORLD GASPS FOR THE GOOD BROUGHT BY GODLY WOMEN ENGAGED IN NURTURING LEADERSHIP.

This is a season unlike any other. I am wondering if I can remind you that you have been crafted uniquely to be part of the solution, for such a time as this.

NO MATTER IF YOU HAVE EVER BIRTHED A CHILD FROM YOUR WOMB, YOU WERE CREATED TO NURTURE, RAISE UP AND SUSTAIN.

Would you stand up and say yes to what only you can do in your sphere of influence. This is your time to mother the living on your watch. The world is waiting for you.

I believe in you!

Cathie
