A two-week lockdown that turns into eight months.

A short-term pivot that ends up taking you on an extended journey into entirely new and unfamiliar terrain.

A readjusting of schedules, work, kids, relationships and church that fools you into thinking normal before the pandemic was just a myth.

A New Year that promises better times but is still carrying the baggage and pain of the year that has past.  A number doesn’t necessarily mean anything can be different.

It is so easy to forget God's presence and power when we face uncertain and difficult times. Our faith falters and we doubt that God is with us, sometimes even doubting that He is real and who He says He is. God knew that we would struggle with unbelief and has spoken reassuring words to us through the Bible.

What you believe about God, yourself and others, is the key to whether you will rise and believe in the face of prolonged uncertainty, or sink in waves of defeat.

This is the year to BELIEVE.

When you begin to doubt, read these Bible verses about believing and pray that God will renew your heart and mind toward who He says He is and who He says YOU are! Be encouraged as you see God move through all circumstances in life to grow your faith.

This is the year to BELIEVE.

1 Thessalonians 2:13
This is why we continually thank God for your lives, because you received our message wholeheartedly. You embraced it not as the fabrication of men but as the word of God. And the word continues to be an energizing force in you who believe.

John 14:1
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.

Ephesian 1:18-19
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.

1 Peter 1:8
Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.

This is the year to BELIEVE.

Believe that He loves you. Believe that He is for you. Believe that His power is the energizing force at work in you. Believe that faith in Him will overcome your biggest fears. Believe that He is beckoning you to live with hope and stay the path which will culminate in you receiving your inheritance, being kept for you

This is the year to BELIEVE.

Not to give up.

Not to lose hope.

Not to despair.

Rise. Dream. Proclaim His goodness and His faithfulness. He loves you. He always has. He always will. Believe that He is who He says He is – the Prince of Peace. Believe that you are who He says you are – His child.

I believe with you this year that all He has set in motion in your life will come to fruition.

You can believe His promises outweigh and overshadow

all of the chaos any pandemic can create.

1 Peter 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

May you enter in a New Year and believe!
