What you believe matters. What you do matters. The words you speak matter.

My grandson was over last week and we witnessed this usual happy little guy acting out a bit to test the boundaries of what he could and could not do. He could push and pull because at the heart of it all, he was so secure in our love for him, that no matter what he did, he knew we would love him through it all.

So much of what we believe, how we act and the words we give voice to stem from our core understanding of the character of God.

There are three things we all need to believe in order to feel secure.

  1. That we belong

  2. That we have purpose

  3. That we can be genuine

We act out and speak out in fear when one of those core attributes is missing in our belief system. Are you fearful about the state of the world? Are you listening to what others are saying and responding with your words, written or spoken?

Today you must choose to believe in the power of God’s love as the only source of your

  • Belonging

  • Purpose

  • Identity

Your declarations to the world and the powerful revelation of God will come through your very lips, your hands that hold the pen that you will write with, and the heart that receives the love God has for you in all its fuLlness.

What you believe matters. What you do matters. The words you speak matter.

Your words either perpetuate the banner of fear pervading the world’s mindset, or they will overcome fear with warrior truth that proclaims the never ending all-encompassing love of God.

What will your words declare?

“The mountains may shift, and the hills may be shaken, but my faithful love won’t shift from you, and my covenant of peace won’t be shaken,’ says the Lord, the one who pities you.” — Isaiah 54:10

DECLARATION: No matter how the world changes around us, He is always there, guiding us through it all.

“But you, my Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy; you are very patient and full of faithful love.” — Psalm 86:15

DECLARATION: We will make mistakes, but just like the people in our lives who love us unconditionally, God will give us grace and forgiveness.

“The Lord your God is in your midst — a warrior bringing victory. He will create calm with his love; he will rejoice over you with singing.” — Zephaniah 3:17

DECLARATION The Lord is your biggest supporter. When you succeed, he succeeds. He’s always cheering you on.

“Know now then that the Lord your God is the only true God! He is the faithful God, who keeps the covenant and proves loyal to everyone who loves him and keeps his commands — even to the thousandth generation!” — Deuteronomy 7:9

DECLARATION: God will protect His children for eternity after eternity, with His forever unwavering love.

“I ask that you’ll have the power to grasp love’s width and length, height and depth, together with all believers. I ask that you’ll know the love of Christ that is beyond knowledge so that you will be filled entirely with the fullness of God.” — Ephesians 3:18-19

DECLARATION: Because God loves you so much, you are also capable of love in deeper and stronger ways each day.

“But let all who take refuge in you celebrate. Let them sing out loud forever! Protect them so that all who love your name can rejoice in you. Because you, Lord, bless the righteous. You cover them with favor like a shield.” — Psalm 5:11-12

DECLARATION: Those who believe in Him and follow His teachings are guaranteed His shield and can sleep knowing they are never alone.

“This hope doesn’t put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” — Romans 5:5

DECLARATION: God’s love justifies our lives and fills us with hope for the future.

“God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life.” — John 3:16

DECLARATION: Even death has no dominion over those who love and are loved by the Lord.

Find your voice. Speak your truth. Change the world.

I believe in you!
