Motivation Monday - God Sees You
This week I had the privilege of being in a room of Christian leaders from across Canada. It wasn’t lost on me that while there were approximately eighty leaders in the room, only ten of them were women.
How do you feel represented, encouraged, and confident that God sees and values you as His daughters when you feel you are not only in the minority, but often invisible?
It can be easy to feel overlooked as a woman even when reading through the bible. There are only 205 women named in the Bible compared to a whopping 1,181 men mentioned.
And yet, if you take the time to unearth and study the stories of biblical women, it will prove to you that you are NOT God’s afterthought, but that your womanhood is a major part in God’s purpose for you here on this earth and in heaven. God called women specifically to move His story forward and continues to do that today.
There is an ordination to your days.
Every day has the potential for purpose and meaning,
if you would believe that His thoughts are for you
every minute of every day.
What does God say about you?
You are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14),
You are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13)
You are worthy of being saved (Romans 5:8)
You are more precious than rubies (Proverbs 3:15)
You are His chosen people (1 Peter 2:9).
None of the declarations in Scripture distinguish between male and female in being light, salt, worthy, precious or chosen.
If you feel in the minority, you are.
But that is what makes your ‘yes’ more significant.
Because when a woman says yes to God,
the only thing that matters is that He notices and says:
“I can work with that”.
And He will include your name, and your faithfulness in the story that continues to be written until you see the Father face to face.
I believe in you. God bless.
