Day 27: Majesty
1 Chronicles 29:11 “Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendour, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.”
Psalm 93:1 “The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure.”
Psalm 104:1 “Praise the Lord, my soul. Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendour and majesty.
- Take some extended time in prayer to worship God today. Rise above the distractions and burdens of life and worship the Creator of the universe.
- Reflect on how you have seen the majesty of God in creation and thank Him for his marvellous works today.
- Read and meditate on Psalm 8. Imagine David feeling both awe and smallness when he looked up at the heavens, but the Lord revealed to him that from God’s perspective people are much more than mere specks in a vast universe! Scripture tells us we are of great significance to God! Psalm 8 gives us our majestic Creator’s divine perspective.
No matter how small or valueless we may feel at times, we are never insignificant to our heavenly Father! We are His most precious possession!
Enjoy the lyrics to the song Majestic by Lincoln Brewster and use them to make a declaration of praise.
Oh Lord, Our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth
The heavens declare Your greatness
The oceans cry out to You
The mountains, they bow down before You
So I'll join with the earth and I'll give my praise to You
Oh Lord, Our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth
